Lyrics: Puneet Sharma

Music Label: T-Series

This is a fun song where the girl wants to get married because she believes they are both 'baRhiya' — 'good', so they should marry, while the boy is of the opinion that they are 'badhiya' - 'good', as they are, and doesn't want to get married.

main baRhiya tu bhi baRhiya
shaadi kar le saanwariya
phooTengi phir phuljhaRiyaan
baRhiya baRhiyaa...

I'm good, and you're good too.
Marry me, O beloved.
There will be fireworks then,
Wow, wow.

[baRhiya (or badhiya / badhiyaa, as spelled here) is Hindi for good, great, wow.
Also, Saanwariya is an interesting word to use here, as it's the name of Ranbir and Sonam's first film.]

pa ra pa ra...

main baRhiya tu bhi baRhiya
par main azaad hoon chiRiya
rakh tu apni phuljhaRiyaan
baRhiya baRhiyaa...

I'm good and you're good too,
but I'm a free butterfly.
You keep your fireworks with you,
all those wow (fireworks).

chaT mangni kar paT mangni
mujhe patni banale jhaTpaT apni

let's get engaged quickly,
make me your wife, fast.

sun pagli main chhora jungli
arey kaahe ko banana chaahe meri chaTni

Oh crazy one, listen, I'm a wild boy,
why are you bent on ruining me?

oho oho…!

main baRhiya tu bhi baRhiya
par main azaad hoon chiRiya
rakh tu apni phuljhaRiyaan
baRhiya baRhiyaa...

pa ra pa ra...

sun sajna kal aaya sapna
maine sapne mein dekha manDap apna
sab taare thhe baraati
sang naach rahe sooraj chanda

O beloved, listen, I dreamt yesterday,
of our wedding stage,
where all the stars were part of wedding procession,
the sun and the moon were dancing together.

jaag jaa re pagli tu
sapna nahi hai ye hai durghaTna
durghaTna...
sooraj se manDap jal jayega
mujhe nahi pakna, nahi pakna

wake up, O crazy girl,
it's not a dream, it's a bad accident.
sun will burn the wedding stage,
I don't want to be baked.

['pakna' is Hindi for getting baked/cooked, but is very commonly used for 'getting bored' too. Here, 'mujhe nahi pakna' fits well with the literal meaning, as in, he doesn't want to get cooked by the sun's heat, but also goes with the proverbial meaning of pakna, because he doesn't want to get bored long term, by getting into a marriage.]

oho oho!

main baRhiya tu bhi baRhiya
hum kyun phoonke ye duniya
rakh tu apni phuljhaRiyan
baRhiya baRhiya...

I'm good, and you're good too,
why should we burn this world,
you keep your fireworks with you,
all those wonderful fireworks...

baRhiya re baRhiya
baRhiya...

samjhe, aan?
baRhiya!

did you get it?
Wow!
