I made thousands of requests,
but I didn’t get God’s mercies,
just you alone are my destination, believe it.
[minnat is a feminine word, and hence normally the first line would have been maine ki hazaaron minnatein, but here the lyricist has taken a bit of poetic licence and treated the word as masculine to maintain the rhythm of the para.]
