Bekaran/ Bekaraan Meaning

Bekaran/ Bekaraan is an Urdu word which means without a shore, limitless.

This is different from Bekaraar/Beqaraar which means restless.

PS: Kasak means a feeling of loss for something one couldn't/can't get.

Yeh Saali Zindagi Meaning

First let me give the 'literal' translation for Yeh Saali Zindagi. Yeh is 'this', saali means one's wife's sister, and Zindagi means life, so Yeh Saali Zindagi is literally this wife's sister life.

But then, this is not what the title of Sudhir Mishra's movie mean. Yeh Saali Zindagi, translated to English would make something like 'This Damned Life,' as saala/saali is the most commonly used slang in Hindi and even though it literally means a relative, the real meaning is a bit different, something that is not too taboo, but that gives out the frustration a person is going through.

Probably the clearest way to explain would be that going slightly above Yeh Saali Zindagi, you can simply call the title This F***ing Life.
