Cuz it's a Nonsense ki Night Lyrics Translation | Happy New Year
Movie: Happy New Year
Music: Vishal-Shekhar
Lyrics: Farah Khan, Vishal, Shekhar
Singers: Mika Singh
Music Label: T-Series
In the song, every single line except the title is a Hindi proverb translated literally. However, the meanings of these proverbs are of course, proverbial, and should not be literal. So instead of translating the song literally, I am writing the Hindi proverb that is translated here, and giving it's original meaning.
Dance not coming, courtyard crooked
Proverb: Naach na Jaane Aangan Tedha
Meaning: When you don't know something, you try to blame something else.
Music: Vishal-Shekhar
Lyrics: Farah Khan, Vishal, Shekhar
Singers: Mika Singh
Music Label: T-Series

Shirin Farhad ki to Nikal Padi Meaning
According to a Persian story, Shirin and Farhad were two lovers who died without getting each other. However, Shirin Farhad ki to Nikal Padi has a different meaning, as nikal padna in Hindi is a phrase which means to be very much in luck. Hence, the line here means that Shirin and Farhad are very much in luck.
As is almost clear by the name, SFKTNP is comedy about two lovers.

Wallah re Wallah (Tees Maar Khan) Lyrics
sard chilman ke peechhe shama mehfooz rehti hai
jal jaaye parwana, jal ke raakh ho jaaye
to hi use mehboob kehti hai
wallah re wallah wallah
noore husn ka deedar hua
eid ka chand yaar mera baar baar hua
wallah re wallah wallah
wallah re wallah wallah
eid ke naam pe hum jaan de gaye
ishq ke naam pe badnaam ho gaye
jab aur kuch na neelam ho saka
to muft mein hi hum jaan de gaye
dil azeez pe is mureed ka itna sa farz hai
aadab arz hai aadaab arz hai..
aadab arz hai aadaab arz hai..
yaar ki yaad mein benoor ho gaye
khud se khafa khuda door se gaye
jab naam uska mehfil mein utha
yaar ke saath hum mash-hoor ho gaye
yaar ke sath hai khushmijaaz aalam
phir hai gulzar hai gulistaan aalam
laga na shab ko nadka* aaj mile aaj mile aaj mile
main to yaar pe qurbaan hua
wallah re wallah wallah
muddaton baad yaar dil zaar zaar hua
dil azeez pe is mureed ka itna sa farz hai
aadab arz hai aadaab arz hai..
aadab arz hai aadaab arz hai..
haath lage adaayen tarse balkhayen jabse seekhi hai dillagi
aa kar chhup jaayen dar pe farmayen mujhse tu hi hai bandagi
har aashiq se husn ki ye ilteja
kar shauk se tu qurbaan zindagi
aankhen khanjar meri jaan le gayi jaan le gayi
lakhte jigar ke dekho paar ho gayi paar ho gayi..
hoon yaar main, dildaar main, hoon ishq ka izhaar main
raqeeb* ko jo kaat de, wo haath ki talwar main..

Tees Maar Khan Meaning
Tees maar khan is a phrase I'm familiar with from my very childhood. Literally Tees Maar Khan means someone who has killed thirty men. In many stories, mostly those of Sheikh Chilli, Tees Maar Khan is a man who pretends to be a tiger of a man claiming he has killed thirty men, though it doesn't seem so. Hence, when you talk of the actual meaning of the phrase, it's used for someone who says he has done something really big, something worth being proud of, though it may not actually be so.
The earliest and probably the only memory of the phrase for me is of the times I used to be proud of something and my father used to say, 'Tum khud ko bahut bade tees maar khan samajhte ho?' (You think you are some big tees maar khan?) which would mean I wasn't someone great who had done some great thing and there was nothing I should be actually proud of.
So even though I have never looked for the word in the dictionary, I guess I have conveyed you what Tees Maar Khan means.
