Parvardigaara/ Parvardigara Meaning | परवरदिगारा

Parvardigaara (Devanagari:परवरदिगारा) is nothing but parvardigaar, which is a Farsi (and subsequently Urdu) word, and means the Provider, the Supreme Being, or simply, God.

In the Hindi film Fitoor, there is a song that uses the word Parvardigaara, though these days the use of the word in Hindi has come down. I remember the word being used in older movies like Khuda Gawaah.

Fitoor meaning

Fitoor means a kind of madness, generally a madness for something or someone. You could call it obsession, but I feel fitoor is a little more quirky in a way.

Fitoor was the title of the first solo album by poet, lyricist, composer, and of course singer, Mohit Chauhan.

In Mohit Chauhan's own words, "Fitoor means when something overwhelms your mind to the point of little insanity."

Fitoor is also the title of the film starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif and Tabu, and directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
