Another song from Baar Baar Dekho that sounds like any other wedding song (actually a little more sober and probably longer lasting) but has some nuances to it. The song picks up a couple of typical Punjabi wedding things and uses them quite cleverly. I don't remember aalu bade karaare being used in mainstream Bollywood yet, though Latte di chaadar was well used in Queen, and this one is a bit on similar lines. Other than that one thing I kind of loved was the talk about the angry jijja and fuffaD, which is something that is kind of going from Indian weddings now, but used to be an integral part of them until even a decade or so ago. So interesting to see a song that talks about Tweets, DJ, and at the same time things we haven't entirely forgotten yet. Enjoy this one. :)

Yes. Dum Malang Malang, or simply 'Malang' [meaning], is one of the best songs of Dhoom 3, for which Yash Raj Films have reportedly spent 5 crore rupees. Most of it on the shooting of the song of course. Also, YashRaj plans to release this song in full version ONLY in theaters, to increase the number of moviegoers. From the first look, the song is not only superb in Audio, the video of the song is really well, and that's the reason YRF thinks they'll be able to attract people to cinema halls in the name of this song, if nothing else. The stunts performed by Aamir and Katrina in the song are quite something. If not by the standards of dance reality shows, at least by the standards of Bollywood movies they're still big.
The song is sung by Siddharth Mahadevan along with Shilpa Rao, this being Siddharth's first song outside Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and his second film as a singer. The lyrics are written by Sameer.

Ab Tu Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: Title Song Lyrics Translation [Rock Version]
After a long time, I hear a madly motivational song, and once again from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Every time you listen to the song, it gives you a high, and both SEL's music and Prasoon Joshi's lyrics are equally creditable for this wonder. Siddharth Mahadevan sounds a lot like Shankar in many places, and in his singing style too. He might not be as polished as his father, but his enthusiasm in the song sounds very real, and that was a necessity here.
Prasoon Joshi has written some really good lyrics (and I believe a bit tough, since I've already seen most lyric and translation writers making mistakes in this one), and they're a joy to listen to. Here are the lyrics with translation to the rock version. The Music for the album is on Sony Music.
