Satyanbeshi/ Satyanveshi/ Satyanweshi Meaning [সত্যান্বেষী,सत्यान्वेषी]

Satyanveshi is Rituparno Ghosh's last film and is to be released after his death. The film is based on Byomkesh Bakshi who was a detective and used to call him Satyanveshi/ Satyanbeshi.

The word is made up of Sanskrit [and Bangla] words Satya, that is Truth, and Anveshan, which means investigation, search, discovery. Hence, Satyanveshi would be someone who searches for the truth, or discovers the Truth, or in short, Truth-seeker, as the character Byomkesh Bakshi calls himself.

The trailer begins with Ranbir singing in 'Sarson de Khet' that is Mustard fields, a Yashraj favorite.
