Shiva is a Hindu God, and the phrase Namah Shivaay or Om Namah Shivaay is very commonly spoken as a chant to respect Lord Shiva. The meaning of Namah Shivaay literally is I bow for Shiva, or in a more natural way, I bow to Lord Shiva.
Shivaay is also the title of an upcoming Ajay Devgan film.
