Kochadaiyan/ Kochadaiyaan Meaning

Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran was a Pandya king in the seventh century, who is known to have fought and won many battles against the Cheras, Cholas and Marathas among others.

But then, Kochadaiyan literally means 'a King with matted hair' as Ko means a King and Chadaiyaan means one with matted hair. So kochadaiyaan would be king with matted hair.

And then, with that name, Kochadaiyaan is also used for Lord Shiva sometimes.

And that's the name of Rajnikanth's next film. Kochadaiyaan. Just in case you didn't yet know. :)

The movie is a cartoon type where the movie is shot with actual people and then turned into cartoon type as we saw in Tin Tin and Avatar. So it may not abe anything to look forward for Rajni fans...

Rajnikant 'phenomenon' is just plain hype. He has given mega mass-hits but a few movies with quality that are worth mentioning.
