Chaoro Meaning | Mary Kom

Chaoro or Chaaoro is a Manipuri word, which means 'grow up'.

The film Mary Kom, which is based on the story of Indian boxer Mary Kom, has a song titled Chaoro, which is sung by Priyanka Chopra, who plays Mary Kom in the movie.

The song's title line is in Manipuri only, and goes like:

'chaoro, chaoro, ichaa paari chaoro,'

which can be roughly translated to

'Grow up, grow up, my son grow up.'
