Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Meaning

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag literally means 'Run Milkha Run'. Milkha here refers to Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who won Gold in 1958 commonwealth games and represented India in 1960 and 1964 Olympics, missing a bronze in a photo finish.

The film's title is inspired by words of Milkha Singh's father, who asked him to run away to save his life in the riots during Partition of India. At the same time, the words are also significant as Milkha Singh became an athlete, winning medals for 200m and 400m.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is an inspiring story of an athlete with few resources, but an undying spirit, and his fight against the odds. Milkha Singh sold the story to makers for one rupee. It is said that the profits from the film will be used for the benefit of needy athletes.
